Originally of Cornish descent, William Penhaligon moved to London to become the Court and Perfumer to Queen Victoria. The first fragrance to have been created by the brand was the Hammam Bouquet in 1872. Penhaligon then went on to create a long list of best-selling fragrances including 1902 Blenheim Bouquet and the 1978 Bluebell. Penhaligon is now owned by Puig which also owns other famous brands like French perfume house L'Artisan Parfumeur. The brand now has a wide range of body care products, grooming accessories and fragrances for men and women.
